For some reason I have been feeling very homesick for Port Aransas. I found this picture of the seahorses located downtown (HA PORT ARANSAS HAS A DOWNTOWN!) and they made me feel happy.
I remember the day this big hunk of steel meandered it's way down the channel out to the gulf. We were still living on Semper Fi at the city marina. I joined the crowd of watchers to see this Empire State Buildingish oil platform go by. This picture does not do it justice.

i don't know, it's pretty obvious how ginormous it is! i hope you guys go back to port aransas soon... but no matter where you are, we'll come visit you this summer!
I'm homesick too! Let's go home together.
